Mental Nesting - Support for the 167 Hours Between Therapy
LMSW-trained • Coaching, not therapy

You're not too much here.

Therapy ends Tuesday at 3pm.

Life keeps spiraling until next week.

That gap? That's the 167 hours I help you navigate.

Real talk: I hold an LMSW, but this is coaching—not therapy or treatment. Think of it as the support between your therapy sessions.

Why This Exists

Because healing doesn’t only happen at 2pm on Thursdays.

.

You leave therapy feeling clear. Then Tuesday at 3pm, your boss asks you to cover a shift, and the old patterns rush back before you can even think.

That’s the gap I built Mental Nesting for — the in-between hours when your triggers arrive and you wonder if all that therapy even worked.

I know this space because I’ve lived it.

I created The Nest so no one has to spiral alone.

Find your fit, gently

Hi, I'm Barbara

Messy human. LMSW. Nest-builder.

.

  • By four, I’d already learned trust wasn’t guaranteed.
  • By twenty, I thought emptiness was love.
  • By twenty-nine, I realized therapy gave me language, but daily life needed something gentler.

.

Now I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker who built the exact home I needed back then: a space for the spirals, the Tuesday unravelings, and the everyday moments where healing actually lives.

Your path home to yourself

Three gentle rhythms to rebuild self-trust

1

ROOT

Safety is the soil. Begin again, softly.

We start by creating gentle rhythms that help your nervous system feel safe. No rushing, no fixing. Just learning to trust your own timing again. Sometimes this looks like crying in Target. Sometimes it's learning that rest isn't earned.

2

RECONNECT

You don't need to be healed to be held

Together, we reconnect with your inner child and honor the grief you've been carrying. This is where the real work happens—in the mess, not after you've cleaned it up. Your five-year-old self doesn't need you to have it all figured out.

3

RECLAIM

Hear your voice sound like your own again.

You'll build rituals and practices that feel like you. So you can move through life trusting your sensitivity as strength, not something to fix. Because the goal was never to stop feeling deeply—it was to feel safe while doing it.

Two ways to be held

Important: Coaching vs. Therapy

While I hold an LMSW license, I provide coaching services exclusively. This is not therapy, counseling, or mental health treatment. My clinical background informs my coaching approach, but no therapeutic relationship is established.

Simple Value Section

You Know the Why, But Struggle with the How

The space between understanding your patterns and actually living differently

You've done the therapy. You know the why. But the how keeps slipping.

You can name your triggers. You know your patterns. And still, Tuesday hits and you're right back in it.

That's where I come in—for the 167 hours between therapy sessions, when real life happens and your nervous system needs more than "awareness."

FAQ

No. I'm an LMSW providing coaching services—not therapy. Coaching focuses on implementing insights you already have from therapy into your daily life. While I bring clinical knowledge to this work, no therapeutic relationship is established. This supports but never replaces therapy or medical care.

You'll hear back within 24 hours. If we seem like a good fit, I'll invite you to a free Alignment Call where we can explore what feels right for your nervous system. No pressure, just permission to see if this work resonates.

Therapy helps you understand your patterns. Coaching helps you live differently with that understanding. There are 167 hours between therapy sessions where real life happens. That's where I come in—with daily support for putting your insights into practice.

Understanding yourself and changing your daily patterns are two different skills. Struggling with implementation doesn't mean you're failing at therapy—it means you need a different kind of support. That gap between insight and action is exactly what this work addresses.

We meet weekly for 45 minutes via video call. Sessions are client-led and follow your nervous system's needs that week. Think conversation with someone who understands both clinical concepts and the lived experience of implementing them in messy, real life.

Reintroduction Series: 1-2 brief voice notes per week when you need grounding or encouragement.

Homecoming Hours: Daily voice note access and text exchanges whenever you need support implementing what we're working on. Real-time companionship for the space between sessions.

There's no falling behind in this work. Each week is a reset. We move at your pace, with compassion for the hard days. Reflection prompts are invitations, not assignments.

Absolutely. Most clients do both. They work together beautifully—therapy for processing and understanding, coaching for implementation and daily practice. I respect and support your therapeutic relationships.

Everything in Reintroduction plus: unlimited voice support, shared workspace where I respond weekly, community access, custom tools (affirmations, reflection journal, tracking resources), and a personal closing ritual with meditation and digital gift.

If you're in crisis, need emergency support, or haven't started therapy yet, please seek clinical care first. This work is for people who are stable and want to bridge the gap between therapeutic insight and daily life.

Yes. Payment plans are available at checkout through Shop Pay installments.

The application helps both of us determine if this is a good fit. You'll share where you are in your healing journey and what kind of support you're looking for. I'll review it and reach out within 24 hours to let you know next steps. Generally: Reintroduction for gentle exploration, Homecoming for deeper transformation with more daily support.
